Our Mission is to Decolonize Spirituality by PROMOTING SPIRITUAL INDEPENDENCE. We Share Spaces and Services for People from Diverse Religious & Non-Religious Backgrounds to Nourish and Expand Their Faith.
The Harmonic Spirit (THS) is a virtual community center for those who follow their own rhythm in harmony with the Creator. Harmonic Spirits live in alignment with the unique sounds of their soul. We play at our own pace and pitch, without letting others shift the key. We do not aim to master anyone else’s part in the symphony of life, but commit to playing the part our individual spirits were born to play.
At THS, we work with individuals, groups and organizations to spark conversations, fan the flames of curiosity, and encourage spiritual growth free from shame or disrespect. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that all paths lead to Spirit, and that the Spirit of Truth is present within each living being.

Hi! I’m Kayla.
I am a writer, a Spiritual Liberation Coach, a Reiki Master Teacher and founder of The Harmonic Spirit — a virtual community center promoting spiritual liberation and interfaith pluralism. While I reside in Michigan, the Earth is my home. I started writing and performing poetry as a high school student in Kalamazoo, MI. From there, I studied journalism at Ohio University in 2017 and began a brief career as a reporter before discovering a different path. In 2024, I became certified as a Reiki Master Teacher and completed my training as a trauma-informed somatic life coach. Now, I devote my time to sparking conversations about faith, free thought and spiritual wellness. I am the author of two books, Prayers In Reverse and S.U.R.E.A.L. Faith, author and host of the Divine Anarchy blog and podcast, and creator of Metermorphosis, a transformational poetry experience.
